Beautiful Sinhagad fort view from the infinity pool

The 1st thing that comes to mind when we hear the word ‘Sinhagad’ is the beautiful trek up the mountain and steps with a gorgeous view of the valley and the the Sahyadris! But did you know the history behind this magnificent fort?

Sinhagad fort was of strategic importance in the Maratha Empire. The caves and the carvings in the Kaundinyeshwar temple suggest that it could have been built almost 2000 years ago! The fort provides natural protection due to its very steep slopes. The walls and bastions are constructed only at key places. There are two gates to enter the fort, the Kalyan Darwaza and Pune Darwaza. It saw many battles and was passed between the Mughals and Marathas numerous times before being conquered by the British in 1818 AD, to be subsequently merged into independent India.

It fills you with a sense of pride when you even get a glimpse of such a historic marvel. Imagine getting an uninterrupted view of the entire fortress! And the icing on the cake is this glorious view from our infinity swimming pool!

The pool is situated on a cliff from where you can watch the fort in its full glory! Watch as the last rays of the setting sun slowly kiss goodbye to the fort and the surrounding mountains with a promise of meeting again tomorrow.

Wouldn’t this be a perfect setting for a romantic date? You could also host a birthday party, wedding reception or even a family picnic. The unity and strategic prowess of the Marathas can serve as a great example in team building, so, a corporate outing at this vantage point at one of the best resorts in Pune could be immensely beneficial for your team!
